Regional Faculty Development Workshops on Competency-Based Education and Assessment

AACN offers a series of regional faculty development workshops to aid schools in their transition to competency-based education. Participants have the opportunity to collaborate with competency-based education and simulation experts, and will learn about new strategies, resources, and solutions for adapting undergraduate and graduate nursing programs to align with the Essentials.

Who Should Attend

Faculty, curriculum specialists, deans/directors, and nursing school staff engaged in Essentials implementation and the transition to competency-based nursing education.

Attendees may earn 7.25 contact hours for the workshops. An email with a link to the evaluation will be sent to all attendees upon completion of the event. 

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Eligible attendees may receive contact hours for Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) for participating in AACN conferences.
