Meet the 2019 Recipient of AACN & NIDA Mentored Training Award Wednesday, December 12, 2018 Congratulations to Brayden Kameg, BSN, RN, CARN, the winner of the AACN and the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) Mentored Training Grant Award. The $10,000 grant will support Ms. Kameg’s project—Leveraging Advanced Practice Registered Nurses to Combat the Opioid Epidemic: Disseminating Evidence-Based Information to Enhance Practice Change—which was chosen by AACN’s Health Policy Advisory Council. The Council provides insights to guide the association in its development of policy statements surrounding current and emerging areas in health, healthcare, and higher education. Ms. Kameg is enrolled in the DNP program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and is currently employed as a registered nurse at the Veterans Administration Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
