AACN Sends Letter Citing Concerns with Provisions in H.R. 1 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Tuesday, November 28, 2017 AACN sent a letter to the Senate commending the chamber for omitting certain provisions in their tax bill that would negatively impact affordability and accessibility of higher education. The association urges the Senate to continue refraining from including these provisions, which appear in the House’s bill H.R. 1, as they would increase the cost of education for undergraduate and graduate students by repealing a set of tax credits. The Senate is expected to address their bill on the floor this week. Categories: Policy & Advocacy
