All of Us Research Program Workbench: New Tool for Nurse Researchers

The All of Us Research Program aims to improve precision medicine research by building a national health information resource of one million or more U.S. participants that reflects the diversity of the country. AACN is partnering with this NIH-funded program to provide grants for nursing schools interested in advancing this initiative and accessing its Researcher Workbench, which now includes health data from more than 372,000 individuals. Registered researchers can access this data and use it to explore potential associations across a variety of factors, from genetics to geography to mental health. Visit the All of Us Research website to learn more about the Workbench, and visit the AACN website to apply for a mini-grant before September 26. 

There's Still Time to Register: September IPEC Faculty Development Institute

The upcoming IPEC Faculty Development Institute, to be held September 28-30, 2022, in Washington, DC, is returning with a focus on building interprofessional education for collaborative practice (IPECP). Participating faculty will engage with national leaders in acquiring the building blocks for IPECP. Institute attendees will spend significant time planning, building, designing, assessing, and acting on their IPECP goals and projects, as well as communicating effectively about of team-based care. Call for Pilot Schools: A Competency-Based Approach to Leadership Development and Resilience for Student Nurses

AACN is pleased to announce a call for pilot schools for a new initiative funded by Johnson & Johnson aimed at preparing new graduates to meet the competency expectations outlined in the AACN Essentials. AACN is looking for schools interested in offering new learning experiences that build skills in the areas of resilience, self-care, well-being, and leadership. 
 
AACN is seeking 10 schools with entry-level baccalaureate nursing programs to implement and evaluate learning strategies and clinical experiences developed through this project in their curriculum. Selected schools will receive $10,000 in funding and technical assistance from AACN to implement the new learning and assessment strategies.  
 
Deadline for Application Letter: Friday, September 30, 2022.
Anticipated Award Date: Friday, October 14, 2022.

Are you collaborating with practice partners to implement new learning and assessment measures?
