2018 National Consensus Project Guidelines for Quality Palliative Care
Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC): Provides resources for palliative care program development and growth. Access essential palliative care tools, education, resources and training for interprofessional healthcare teams.
City of Hope Pain and Palliative Care Resource Center (COHPPRC): Serves as a clearinghouse to disseminate information and resources to assist others in improving the quality of pain management and end of life care. The COHPPRC provides a central source for collecting pain assessment tools, patient education materials, quality assurance materials, palliative care resources, research instruments and other resources. The pain and symptom management cards can be found on the home page of the COHPPRC.
End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC): This project, a partnership between the City of Hope and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), is a national education initiative to improve palliative care. The project provides undergraduate and graduate nursing faculty, CE providers, staff development educators, specialty nurses in pediatrics, oncology, critical care and geriatrics, and other nurses with training in palliative care so they can teach this essential information to nursing students and practicing nurses.

Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA): Established in 1986, HPNA is the nation's largest and oldest professional nursing organization dedicated to promoting excellence in hospice and palliative nursing care. In addition, HPNA has two other organizations under its arm: Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center (HPCC) and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF).
Joint Commission Advanced Palliative Care Certification: Launched in September 2011, The Joint Commission’s Advanced Certification Program for Palliative Care recognizes hospital inpatient programs that demonstrate exceptional patient and family-centered care and optimize the quality of life for adult and pediatric patients with serious illness.
